Tired of raw hot dogs and charred s’mores cooked on your pitiful campfire? At 10 a.m., take a short tree identification hike with naturalist Robert Jennings from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Following the hike, come eat lunch with us at 11 a.m., while listening to a campfire/forest fire safety demonstration given by state park ranger, John Zawatsky. Ranger John will have his fire protective gear on display, including his deployable fire tent, and he will answer your camping & fire safety questions. Hot dogs and bottled water provided.
