Plein Air Paint Out
October 8, 2021, 9:00 am - October 10, 2021, 5:00 pm
Please join RVF and local artists for this unique event celebrating the natural beauty of the Rockfish Valley on October 8-10th.
We will have over two dozen invited artists painting along the trails on Friday (October 8), Saturday (October 9), and during a two-hour quick draw on Sunday morning (10am-12noon) at Spruce Creek Park. Further, the artists will allow visitors to watch them work along the trails and in the park. Paintings created during the event (ready to hang) will be displayed on easels the artists provide or on tables provided by Tuckahoe Clubhouse from 2-5pm on Sunday.
While artists are painting, scheduled walk/talk informal programs will be offered by some of the top naturalists living and working in Virginia. Adults and children will have fun learning about the water, rocks, trees, and soil of Rockfish Valley while they watch the artists paintings. Food trucks will be parked near the trail head and Port-a-Johns will be available.
